From the Principal:
I am very proud of the staff at Alex Park from K-12. They are committed to working collaboratively to provide our students with the best possible educational and wellbeing programs. Each week teachers and support staff in faculty, cluster, learning and well-being teams meet to monitor student progress, share information and plan for improvement. These meetings occur outside of teaching hours before school and after school.
Throughout the year Stage teams in the primary school and Faculty teams in the high school will be released from duty for the day to participate in Collaborative Practice Conferences (CPC's) which are led by the Assistant Principals and Head Teachers. The CPC's provide teachers with the opportunity to ensure consistency of curriculum delivery, including strategies for differentiation and consistency of teacher judgement which leads to school-wide improvement in teaching practice and student outcomes. In the high school we strive to work across faculty teams in projects which strengthen the links in content, skills and instruction across the curriculum.
